300 Days of Sunshine

I was born in Algarve where the sun shines 3,000 hours per year. The region is very well known for its postcard beaches and summer tourism. If you can, travel there in autumn, winter or spring. It will be calm and less hot. We love the fishermen towns in the east and the rough sea on the west coast so called Costa Vicentina. If you are a beginner at surf, you might want to check out some surfing schools around Arrifana. Algarve has a beautiful nature reserve called Ria Formosa where you can observe birds and the beauty of nature. If you’re lucky, you might as well see some flamingos.
