Casas da Levada
Being close to nature and the peaceful atmosphere that comes with it, is how we forget about daily struggles and worries. Listening to the wind dance with the tree leaves and to the waves break is like meditation. We enjoy being on the countryside and close to the ocean. With our stay at Casas da Levada we had the chance to combine both.
Casas da Levada is an agrotourism property consisting of 6 individual and family houses (B&B and Self Catering). It is located in Ponta do Pargo, on the western tip of the island of Madeira. The charming property is surrounded by the magic island nature and the Levadas. It has the privilege of being on the edge of the Natural Forest of Madeira, Laurissilva. The restored traditional houses offer lager green spaces, a small organic garden and a stunning view over the blue Atlantic Ocean.
In order to establish harmony and balance with nature, the project embraces permaculture and consequent sustainability. It’s an homage to the roots and traditions.
Casas da Levada is a sanctuary for those seeking moments of tranquility and leisure, for all nature lovers and ideal as a starting point for your nature activities, such as: hiking, mountain biking, canyoning, whale watching and much more. Among the Levadas that run through the entire space, there is an infinity pool and a space with animals. It’s also the perfect place to stay at with children.
Hobbit Bar
We loved the Hobbit Bar and its self-service concept. Therefore, you can enjoy a refreshing beverage by the pool or elsewhere on the property any time you want.
The houses
The houses are very different. So, when booking your stay be aware of that. While you can choose to stay in a rustic and traditionally kept house, you can also book a modern house with traditional design details. We specially adore that you can enjoy your meals outside on the private terraces overlooking the property’s gardens and the Atlantic Ocean.
