At Casa Amora you'll experience a very unique stay in Lisboa. The design and feeling of this charming guesthouse is inspired my the origin of the two emblematic Lisbon buildings: a quintessentially bourgeois early 20th century building and a 18th century house, an example of the local Pombaline style architecture. Mike and I normally chose more modern and contemporary places to stay but this time when visiting Lisbon on my own, I felt the need to stay at a cozy place that could feel like home. A place where I feel at home and had some space to work.
At Casa Amora I did find some time to relax and work and at the same time it inspired me to go a bit more crazy at my own home in terms of decoration. Because at Casa Amora life is celebrated with colours, arts and a delicious breakfast. The owners João and Luís have a background in economics and design. With Casa Amora they found a place to be creative and to share their passions.
"At Casa Amora, they celebrate the creative, curious and wandering spirit of those who dream and do. Each room is a tribute to a striking figure of Portuguese culture. Each day is a new discovery and not a single detail is left to chance. An interior journey through the city of Lisbon and Portuguese culture, in a house with an artist’s soul and a genuine love for the beautiful things in life."
I was very lucky to stay at the Duplex Suite with my one terrace overlooking beautiful Lisboa. Mike would have loved to have such a big place to stay at!
Even on a rainy day - beautiful to sit outside.
Loved the wall with all these beautiful drawings.
Queen size bed for me!
Where breakfast is served when it is not cold and raining.
Portuguese delicacies among others for breakfast.
All those colours I love outside.
Juan is the charming and lovely person who will most likely welcome you at Casa Amora and he will make you feel like a very special guest too. I was specially surprised by their services as for example the mobile phone they hand out to you during your stay. On the guest mobile phone you will have internet where ever you're in Lisbon and it will also be your personal guide. The team of Casa Amora put together their favorite places and will make your discovery of the city much easier and fun.
We love the surroundings of Casa Amora. It is situated in one of our favorite neighborhoods in Lisboa. We love the Mãe d'Água das Amoreiras Water Reservoir just next door and the little park in front of it. In a few minutes of walk you'll be at Principe Real.
Thank you to the Casa Amora for having me just before Corona hit us. I love staying with you!
