Thank you Ana for sharing with us a family recipe of yours. This recipe was the first one she has learned as a child. We're very looking forward to trying it out this weekend. 125gr plain yogurt 2 eggs 100 g soft butter 200 g sugar Zest of ½ a lemon 200 g flour 1 teaspoon baking powder
Frosting: 200 g powder sugar 1 egg white
Decor: white chocolate sprinkles Fresh strawberries
Whisk the eggs with the sugar and the butter, then add the yogurt and the lemon zest, whisk again. Fold gently the stiffed flour with the baking powder.
Transfer the batter into a middle whole cake tin, greased and sprinkled with some flour. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180ºC for 20 to 30 minutes. Turn off the oven and remove the cake from the tin, let it cool.
Frosting: Place the powder sugar in small mixing bowl, pour egg white on top, whisk until you reach a thick white frosting (if it is liquid let it rest for a couple of minutes, don´t let it dry completely).Top the cake with the frosting, sprinkle some white chocolate and finish with the strawberries.
Keep it in the fridge until serving.
