Sala de Corte

This article is dedicated to all the meat lovers out there who enjoy consciously its consumption. It’s for those of you who prefer quality over quantity. I try to keep my meat consumption low and when I eat meat, it’s important to know where it comes from and how the animals were held. At Sala de Corte you can enjoy by far more than just a well cooked meat dish. I had for instance the best truffle mashed potatoes ever and finished the evening with a devine Berry Pavlova (Mike went straight to heaven with his cheese tart too). A dinner at Sala de Corte is definitely a unique food experience and the service was excellent.

Berry Pavlova

Sala de Corte is a specialized steakhouse in matured meat. For different appetites and tastes there are seven possible cuts: Vazia, Picanha, Entrecôte, Sirloin, Chateaubriand, T-Bone and Chuletón. Options with different weights, some of them ideal to share. The meat is rigorously selected in bovine breeders with certified origin, and made in a Josper, a solution which presents an elegant combination of grill and oven in one piece. This equipment has the ability to combine the traditional flavor from embers with the most advanced restoration techniques current, which allows to obtain accurate results and unique, such as the perfect caramelization of the meat and the conservation of all its juices, texture and flavor.

We were a bit overwhelmed with all the terms at the beginning as we don’t know much about all the different cuts. But the staff will help you with all of it, no worries.

The restaurant offers an intimate atmosphere and the staff is very attentive. The industrial touch mixed with a certain elegance goes perfectly with the food and gives the place a certain masculine touch. It’s also the perfect place to enjoy a boys’ night. The counter separates the kitchen from the tables, and is the place of choice for those who like to follow the gastronomy action up close. Copper lamps, the gray marble of the tops, the floor in ox-blood screed and the gray walls combined with the pink marble make the restaurant a welcoming and sophisticated space.

We (Mike and I) enjoyed our last evening in excellent gastronomic company in Lisboa with my sister and her partner. Thank you for this experience!
