BOOTANI
While a pandemic was putting our lives upside down, Rita, a mother of two young children, decided to go after her dream and give wings to her creativity. BOOTAN was born in the middle of Nature and transforms this source of inspiration into concern and care for our environment.
BOOTANI is a brand of baby and children's clothing from 6 months to 6 years old, with 100% Portuguese design, materials and production. Rita is passionate about the purity of children, childhood and its growth process. This is reflected in her work. Every piece is thought to the detail. The colors refer to the diversity existing in nature and the children’s comfort is one of the top priorities, so it can explore the world.
BOOTANI is a modest brand. Without the means to spend large amounts of money on rentals and real estate, its office was created in Rita’s garage.
Environmental concern covers all areas of the brand’s action, from fiber to shipping:
95% of the fibers used in the fabrics are sustainable. The Cotton is 100% organic and Polyester is 100% recycled. They fight to remove virgin fibers from their products.
All these fabrics were produced in factories that lead the European market and with increased social and environmental responsibility.
The most advanced machines were used in wet processes (where there is a greater environmental impact), allowing a consumption below the European average of water and energy.
All used chemicals comply with REACh and OEKO-TEX standards.
The creations are produced in factories that respect gender equality and safety. The hygiene and safety conditions are in accordance with all European standards and the salaries are fair.
The entire industrial and logistical process takes place within a radius of 20 km, from the production of fabrics to the dispatch of your orders from the warehouse.
Shipments are 100% plastic free. The outer envelope is made of recyclable paper.
The clothes are carefully produced with superior quality materials. The pieces are supposed to last and be enjoyed by several generations of siblings, cousins and friends.
